Printable Fitness Planner [Letter Size + A5!]

Happy New Year!  Start this year off right by creating a plan to achieve your health and fitness goals. This printable Fitness Planner is the perfect tool to help you get started!
This colorful planner comes with files for both Letter Size and A5.  If you need another size you can always resize pages using your printer settings.  Pages are in order and ready for 2-sided printing.  As always, I suggest looking over your files for download errors before printing and also printing in small groups to avoid wasting paper and ink.
Now let's get into the contents of the planner!  Here's a look at the index page-

Covers + Extras

I've included fun polka dot divider pages to keep things bright and cheery.  These pages are colorful, but easy on your printer ink.  There are 6 sections in total and matching divider tabs are also included.  You will need to cut and assemble the tabs using these easy instructions.

1. Goals

Set some goals for health, nutrition and fitness using this fun goal setting page!
There are 9 spaces and this section also includes lined pages for you to write out your goals in more detail.

2. Plan

Create a plan using these lined pages.
Write out your meal plan, workout plan, changes you would like to make, bad habits you need to break- anything you want!

3. Motivation

What is your motivation for starting this plan?
You can also include your own pages in this section.  You can create a vision board photo collage, print it out and add it to your planner!

4. Weekly

Time to get started!
There are 12 weeks of pages setup in order already and I've included a One Week Easy Fill file so you can easily print out additional weeks and add them to your planner.  Remember- you can print extras of any page you like and you don't need to print the whole planner at once if you would rather print a little at a time!
Each week starts with a weekly planning page to write out your goals, schedule and any notes you need to make.
There is a Weekly Meal Log at the beginning of each week.  You can fill in the dates in the white boxes under each day and either plan meals in advance or log as you go.  There's also a hydration tracker for each day.  I usually make each water bottle = 1 liter and try to drink 4 liters a day.
There is a Fitness Log for each day of the week.  Record your strength training, exercises, cardio and make notes.  If you, for example, go to a fitness class that day you can write that into the notes section and record the duration and intensity under the cardio section.

5. Progress

This progress chart will help you track physical changes!
This chart includes weight, body fat, measurements, pant/shirt size and weekly spaces to record the date.  Measure as often as you like!  I use a sewing tape measure (because they're about $1 and much cheaper than a tape specifically for body measurements) that I got in the craft section at Walmart.

Sometimes the scale doesn't reflect the changes you're making and you can even gain weight as you gain muscle.  Body measurements are typically a more reliable way to track, but keep in mind that measurements will fluctuate just like your weight.  Are you bloated?  Make a note at the bottom of the page!

6. Notes & Ideas

I always have to include a notes section!
You can use this section to record any ideas you have or future plans!  Odds are you're going to have things you want to remember or things you need to change for your next fitness plan.

So what do you think?

This planner is available as an instant download so you can get started planning right away.

Freebie: Daily Nutrition Log with Macros (A5 & Letter)

Here's a printable Daily Nutrition Log to help you get back on track!  Use this planner in your A5 or letter size planner or binder.
This planner page is a free addition to my new Fitness Planner (coming soon!)  It can be used with another planner or on it's own!  (This makes a great physical copy of your data from MyFitnessPal!)
I designed this planner page with lots of color and plenty of space to log your meals for the day.  Each meal space has 6 lines.  If you're eating more than 6 items or ingredients condense some into the same line.  For example, if you're putting a small amount of several vegetables on a salad just list all the items on one line along with their combined macros.

Freebie: Printable Goal Planner Page (A5 & Letter) and Color Selection

Here's a sample from the new Fitness Planner coming soon!  This colorful Goal Planner page is available in A5 and Letter Size size.  Add this to your planner to set long-term (or short-term) goals for your heath, nutrition and fitness!

The PDF is setup for 2-sided printing, but you can choose to print just one side if you like.  You can choose either A5 or Letter Size and, of course, you can also resize the pages to fit your planner.  The page above is printed on A5 paper and shown in a large (A5) kikki.K planner.
If you would like to resize these pages to fit a different size paper you can visit my page on Resizing PDFs.

Color Schemes & Color Choice

This planner will show off a new color scheme I've been using.  Still bright, but with some muted and natural tones.  I never choose just one or two colors.  Typically my color schemes have 7 or more colors and a couple alternate colors to add in like gray or brown.  I went crazy and used 11 colors this time.
In this palette I used some pastel, bright and muted tones and added a taupe accent color to throw in when needed.  Adding too many bright colors all together can look too harsh.  Adding too many pastel and muted tones can look dull.  I think using a good mix of different types of colors makes for a more attractive color scheme.

You can see the overall effect is colorful, but not obnoxious.  There's a lot of white space in my designs since the pages are meant to be printed at home.  They're very ink- friendly- I only purchased ink twice last year and I print pages daily for my business.  (I highly recommend buying the high capacity cartridges.  They last forever!)

The other reason I leave lots of white space- to keep the pages looking clean.  I have to balance out all the colors I'm using.  If I add too much color or graphics to the page it starts to look busy.

What color schemes do you prefer?  Do you like a lot of color or do you prefer to stick with one or two shades?

Freebie Friday: Calorie Reference Sheet {for your Fitness or Food Journal}

If you like to keep track of what you eat each day then this is the perfect tool for you!  Keep a running list of all the foods you eat most often so you can easily refer to it when filling out your Daily Fitness Planner or Food Journal!  Available in 2 sizes (Letter and Half Letter)!

You can track your food with an app or online, but I've always preferred to keep a written food journal.  I got sick of looking up the nutrition facts for each food over and over again so I started keeping a list of nutrition facts for the foods I ate most often.
You can keep this reference sheet in your fitness planner or food journal so it's right there when you need it!
